Vaboran Overlords are b'vacha (non-mages) who fear the ē'thrae (mage) populations within the Nevascian Galaxy are increasing too quickly to be controlled.

 

Sovereign Overlord Theonan has developed a covert plan to eliminate most of the ē'thrae . . . if not all.  But something has arisen that could either thwart that plan – or help it.

 

A young man named Kylan has discovered he is a Solitary, one of the rarest and most dangerous of ē'thrae to ever exist. His cousin, rebel ē'thrae leader Jericha, wants his power for her own agenda against the Vaboran government. And she's not the only one. Kylan's teacher, High Ē'thrae Pliash of the planet Callatol, seeks to offer Kylan to Theonan as a bargaining chip to spare his own life should the rumored genocide come to pass.

 

Stuck in the middle is Kylan's best friend, Blake Hayden, the commander of a smuggling ship. Blake and his crew must find a way to keep Kylan safe from both sides of this explosive situation, but a threat no one saw coming may defeat Blake from succeeding--a dark part of his past that not even Kylan knows about . . . or does he?
